Every season, I create a wonderful new collection designed be placed anywhere a layer of cozy comfort and beauty is required. When it comes to decor, there's nothing more welcoming than arriving home to be surrounded and comforted by your furnishings, I call this creating a cocoon of comfort. A home environment where you can truly relax, be your authentic self and restore your soul. The 10 x 10 collection was designed for this, comprised of our modern solid Topanga linen in 20 custom House of Cindy colors and washable natural fiber digital prints for maximum ease and comfort. I hope you love this collection as much as I enjoyed visioning it into form.
This seasons creation, the 10 x 10 collection featured in this post is inspired by the local community of suppliers and manufacturers with in ten miles of my Los Angeles Design Studio. The purpose of the 10 x 10 collection is born out of a passion for the environment, to source locally, to stimulate and support the local economy. We choose linen as the primary textile and designed the collection around it's sustainable principles. Linen made from the Flax plant is the most sustainable natural fiber, because it is cultivated in water and does not require fertilizer or pesticides to grow.
The print patterns in the 10 x 10 collection are first hand painted in the gouache style of hand painting, then converted to digital patterns and printed on natural fiber linen to create a washable fabric that is one of the most eco friendly ways of producing printed textiles. After our fabrics are designed, we create our collection of finished goods pillows, poufs, curtains, upholstered items and of course our fabric is available by the yard for custom projects. In addition to the existing print patterns and colors we can offer clients unlimited custom colors, made to order sizes of pillows and poufs, we have the capacity to fulfill our clients creative vision in our Los Angeles design studio in a timely manner.
